The Southern Alleghenies Planning and Development Commission has been awarded an Appalachian Regional Commission (ARC) grant to conduct a survey to make a compelling business case for the improvement of Corridor N, commonly known as U.S. Route 219 from Meyersdale, Pennsylvania to Corridor E (I-68) in Grantsville, Maryland.

PublicInput.com has been contracted to complete the survey, and compile the data.

Data gathered to date shows that improving the two-lane bottleneck that chokes traffic between I-76 and I-68 could provide important benefits to the entire region. It is believed that the improvement of Corridor N will create both a more efficient transportation corridor and an enhanced business environment.

We are asking our business community to help make a compelling business case for improvement of Corridor N in concert with the Appalachian Development Highway System (ADHS). It is believed this improvement will create both a more efficient transportation corridor and an enhanced business environment.

The survey can be accessed at:  https://publicinput.com/US219 .

Compiled survey results will be shared with the Departments of Transportation in both Maryland and Pennsylvania.
