Little Yough Family Flicks is a free event offered by the Oakland Town Council, Oakland Heritage Community Foundation Inc. and the Greater Oakland Business Association.
The event is a showcase of four family-friendly movies on Friday evenings in the Oakland town parking lot. The Little Yough Family Flicks is a rebranding of the formerly known Oakland Pocket Park Movies.
The event kicked off Friday with a showing of “Playing with Fire” sponsored by Mountain Laurel Medical Center. The schedule for the rest of the event is:
?August 28th:  “Onward,” sponsored by Club 21550
?September 11th:  “Aladdin,” sponsored by First People’s Community Federal Credit Union
?September 18th:   "Frozen II,” sponsored by GCC Technologies LLC
All showings begin at 8:30 p.m., weather permitting.
The movies will be shown on a large inflatable screen and the sound will be transmitted via FM radio so guests are invited to watch from their vehicles.
It is recommended that guests follow the COVID-19 and social distancing guidelines set by the CDC and Gov. Larry Hogan.
