The Appalachian Regional Commission (ARC)
announces READY Appalachia, a new community capacity-building initiative. READY Appalachia offers free cohort-based learning, training, and flexible funding to Appalachian nonprofits, community foundations, local governments, and Local Development Districts.
"By helping local leaders and nonprofit organizations to build on their capacity...READY Appalachia will also help increase equity for our Appalachian people and ensure that the region’s resilience and success will transform their future," said ARC Federal Co-Chair Gayle Manchin.
Participants will join 10-week learning tracks designed to help them strengthen their organizations and better serve communities. Upon completion, their organizations can apply for match-free grant funding for local projects.
The first track, READY Nonprofits, is accepting applications now through Friday, August 19, 2022.
READY Nonprofits helps nonprofit executives and board members increase their capacity in fundraising, financial management, board development, staff and volunteer recruitment and retention, marketing, and more.
