FREE Cybersecurity Seminar: A Must Attend for Small Business Owners

The Western Maryland IT Center of Excellence is pleased to present a FREE seminar to the business community, hosted at Allegany College of Maryland on Wednesday, September 7, 2022, from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. Pre-registration is required.
 
Did you know that the theft and destruction of digital information has become one of the most commonly reported crimes? It in many cases, cyber theft surpasses physical theft and fraud in costs and recovery efforts.
 
Every business that uses the Internet should create a culture of security that can enhance your business and increase consumer confidence. The Coffee Chat will include insight from David Biser, Certified Ethical Hacker and Incident Response Engineer and Cory Beard, Corporal/Criminal Investigator at the Cumberland Police Department, assigned to the Allegany County Combined Criminal Investigative Unit (C3I). Join the IT Center to gain real time updates on the current cybersecurity environment and position your business to better mitigate and respond to cybersecurity incidents.
 
The seminar will be held at Allegany College of Maryland in their newly renovated Technology Building, room T121. Attendees are encouraged to participate in-person, but a virtual option will also be available for those who wish to attend via zoom (zoom link sent to all registered attendees via email prior to seminar). The seminar includes a complimentary continental breakfast.
