Ribbon Cutting Held for Yoder's Butcher Barn

A ribbon cutting ceremony was held on Friday, April 28, 2023, to celebrate the opening of
Yoder's Butcher Barn, 3521 Chestnut Ridge Road, Grantsville.
Garrett County's Business Development Specialist, Connor Norman, led the ceremony.
Local dignitaries in attendance included Mark Widmeyer from Senator Mike McKay’s office, County Commissioner Paul Edwards, Garrett County Chamber of Commerce Board Chair Andrew Fike, and Chamber Membership Manager Nick Sharps.
Western Maryland Regional Director Nan Sheridan-Mann from U.S. Senator Chris Van Hollen’s office and District 1A Delegate Jim Hinebaugh were unable to attend but sent official citations to be presented during the ceremony.
Attendees congratulated the Yoder Family and celebrated the opening of their new facility.
Yoder's Butcher Barn is a small, family-owned slaughterhouse and custom processing shop focused on serving Garrett County and the surrounding community.
Yoder's Butcher Barn is open Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 4 PM and Saturday from 9 AM to 12 PM. The business is available for livestock drop off Monday through Friday at 7 AM. For additional information, please visit the business's
