At its public meeting on July 18, 2023, the Garrett County Commissioners presented Michael J. Fratz, President of W.H. Fratz, Inc., with a proclamation recognizing and celebrating the business's 65th Anniversary. Also present were Accident Mayor Richard Carlson and Mr. Fratz's sons, Josh and Michael.

Established in 1958, W.H. Fratz, Inc. (Fratz True Value Hardware) opened its doors in Accident, Maryland to serve the construction, farming, and landscaping needs of our community and the surrounding region. While the company has grown to meet the needs of the changing market, it still remains a family-owned company with its roots running deep in Garrett County. 

Fratz True Value Hardware is located at 405 South Main Street, Accident, Maryland. The business is open Monday through Friday from 8 AM to 5 PM and Saturdays from 8 AM to 4 PM.
